Alex Harris of the Daily Star cites a report in The Sun, which claims Ibe will sign a new Liverpool contract "worth £35,000 per week" on Thursday.
David Kent of the MailOnline previously reported Manchester City "will monitor" the progress of Ibe's contract talks. Kent suggested Liverpool had "shelved" negotiations until the summer, although he noted "Ibe still expects to agree terms at Anfield."
The versatile player had initially been expected to sign his new agreement by April 26, according to Neil Jones of the Liverpool Echo. Ibe has become a first-team member since returning from his loan spell with Championship club Derby County.
Injuries have hampered the 19-year-old attacking midfielder's recent chances to impress. However, Rodgers has proven willing to give him opportunities whenever possible.
The manager has given Ibe great responsibility, playing him in a versatile role ahead of the Reds' defence, a tremendous showing of faith at this stage of his career.
