Why Brett Isnt The Missing Piece...

Its going to be a long year for the Vikings. After acquiring Sage Rosenfels for a fourth round to bring in to compete for the starting gig, Coach Childress you've made a huge mistake. Most people learn from others mistakes, I guess you missed the news that Eric Mangini was fired last winter, and it WAS Brett's fault. 

Last year, Brett Farve bickered with the packer organization until they decided to trade him instead of just hand him the starting job. Brett Farve moaned and whined saying he wouldn't accept a trade unless it was to the Vikings. Then news came that the Jets would be where he was going. And everyone was fine with that. Let the old man finish his career in the Big Apple.

In New York he was welcomed thinking "hey here's a guy who can turn our 4-12 team into a playoff contender." And through the first 10 weeks it looked like he was sure he made the same old Brett mistakes and miracles, he even had a career best 6 TD game. Then Brett turned bad it was like November hit and became some trashy old 2nd string QB.

The sympathic people will tell you it was all because he torn his bicep. Well that's why you get it checked by the trainers. That's why you throw in the towel and let the actual 2nd string QB play. So the jets told him they didnt want him back, and he retired agian. He even tricked the Jets into releasing him so he could "retire as a Packer."

But again in early July he was back at it. This time talking to the Vikings.

Viking fans will tell you that they think he's the missing Key. They'll tell you we have the running game, the receiver, and defence. And that he will make them a deep playoff team.

Guess what, Last year the Jets had argueably the best O-line, AFC leading rusher, good defence, and good receivers. sounds like the same situation to me. But most could argue that the Jets Wideouts were better. The Jets Line was better then the Vikings is now.

So will the old man and Purple Jesus get to the promised land... My answer is No, if he couldnt even make it to December what make me think he can make it to Febuary
