Sport writes that Reus’ agent, Volker Struth, recently held discussions with Real Madrid and will soon meet Barcelona’s sporting director, Ariedo Braida. The piece claims that the purpose of the meetings is to establish what price each team would offer in order to land Reus, who is reportedly valued at €35 million.
The article also outlines exactly which clubs are interested in the Germany international:
"Reus has a contract until 2019, but Madrid's interest is still very much alive and Volker Struth has spoke with the European champions this past week. However, aware of interest elsewhere, this does not mean the door is closed on alternative destinations.
Arsenal, Manchester City and PSG have also been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old, while Jose Mourinho and Louis van Gaal would also like to see him at Chelsea and Manchester United respectively.
German champions Bayern Munich, who often sign the Bundesliga's best players, are also waiting on Reus' decision. And Barca are also very much involved in the hunt to sign him as well.
"

According to the piece, Barca’s transfer ban—which prevents them from bringing in any new players until January 2016—means that they are in a “weaker” position than the other sides chasing the forward.
Here’s a look at what Reus could potentially add to some of European football’s most illustrious teams:
The Dortmund man certainly has the class to cut it at the elite level. For years he has lit up the Bundesliga with his enterprising brand of attacking play, dazzling defenders with his intricate skill set or leaving them standing with his searing pace.
While the player has a clear affinity with Dortmund, this summer could be the right time for him to leave.

What the new contract for the player ensures is that the Westfalenstadion outfit will receive a substantial sum for their star man. As noted by European football writer Ben Lyttleton, with Jurgen Klopp also set to leave the club this summer, Reus may also fancy a change of scenery:
If he does move, the 25-year-old will want assurances about his spot in the squad and will be hopeful of commanding a role of comparable stature to the one he has with BVB. So while the bright lights of the Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou are enticing, it’s important the German makes a considered decision that’ll enable him to continue developing as a footballer.
With so many quality attacking options in situ at Real and Barca, it’s tough to immediately see where Reus would fit in.
Therefore, perhaps clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal may fancy their chances of luring the Dortmund man to the Premier League, with the incentive of becoming a key component trumping the gravitas of the Spanish juggernauts.
