Sky Sports reported United's interest in the starlet:
Depay scored his 20th goal of the Eredivisie season on Saturday as PSV wrapped up the Dutch title. His terrific free-kick was tweeted by Paddy Power:
Football writer Elko Born believes the player previously turned down an approach from PSG:

Kevin Palmer of the Sunday World suggests the versatile forward only wants to join United:
Depay's relationship with United manager Louis van Gaal is well-documented. Van Gaal provided the 21-year-old with vital experience at the 2014 World Cup, in which he played ahead of a back three.
The youngster is confident, someone who has developed alongside being given responsibility for club and country. He has been a leader for PSV this campaign and could certainly spice United's attack up next season.
B/R UK's Ryan Bailey and Matteo Bonetti recently discussed what United need to do to become title contenders:
Van Gaal is said to be hunting improvements across the pitch, with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan reportedly catching his eye, per The Sun (h/t Jamie Sanderson of Metro).
Sanderson suggests the Old Trafford club are "looking to grab" the German for £20 million, using the impending departure of BVB boss Jurgen Klopp as a springboard for getting the deal done.
Gundogan's calm ball-playing skills would fit naturally into the 4-3-3 formation Van Gaal has recently settled on. However, many supporters will be looking for United to land a physical, controlling defensive midfielder to provide cover for Michael Carrick.

With Marouane Fellaini currently playing higher up the pitch, the Red Devils were forced to deploy striker Wayne Rooney in midfield against Chelsea. His driving runs are needed up top, so finding extra options in that area of midfield should rank among Van Gaal's summer priorities.
Both Depay and Gundogan would be tremendous signings for the club—the kind of personnel to simultaneously improve United's starting lineup and squad depth. This will be vital if Champions League football is secured in the next few weeks.
