Green Still Looking to Recapture Form from Last Season
Green, 29, had his best regular season as a professional in 2014-15, averaging 17.6 points and 4.3 rebounds in 33 games with the Boston Celtics before they traded him to the Grizzlies, where he posted a solid 13.1 points and 4.2 rebounds in 30.2 minutes per contest.
Only Marc Gasol (17.6 PPG), Zach Randolph (16.1 PPG) and Mike Conley (15.8 PPG) averaged more points for Memphis last season. But Green's numbers were down somewhat this season, and the Grizzlies made him available in a trade, eventually moving him to the Clippers.
Landing him in a trade was considered one of the sneakier moves at the trade deadline and solidified the Clippers as one of the main threats to unseat Warriors in the Western Conference. His return from injury will be vital as the team attempts to win an NBA title.
