Nightmare at The Linc, On a TV Near You!

The nightmare has begun, as predicted.  Philadelphia is about to become the city of Brotherly hate.  The Eagles Football Rehab Center has now created such racial divide in Philly that the game tonight will be overshadowed by the self promoting African American community groups protesting the prejudice White people in the city - on behalf of Michael Vick.  HUH? The PETA people (who in this instance have more of a case to protest) agreed to not protest at  the Linc.  Other groups will hold events far away from the game...events,, not marches.  This is not Selma, Alabama!

J. Whyatt Mondesire, president of the NAACP's Philadelphia chapter, said Wednesday that his group and others planned to rally outside Lincoln Financial Field in support of Vick.  Do dogs know what color their killers are?  Does the NAACP condone murdering dogs inhumanely?   The inhumane treatment of slaves - often compared to treatment of dogs - was the reason many of these groups formed.  Guess now all is forgiven?  We officially now have all the bad PR one town can find at at ball game. My soft protest the 13th is bound to become racially charged, and that is what I was hoping to avoid. 

Does this march help Vick begin to work in the community? Hell no.  It justifies his sick, sociopathic, behavior.  Part of any rehabbing (and that is what Eagles are doing now) is making amends.  Guess that is no longer necessary.  The POTUS who has his nose into everything racial is silent (on vaca).  Mayor Nutter, where are you? Maybe a call to buddy, Reverend Al is in order to call this nonsense off? Race is not an excuse for bad behavior, no matter what color you are.  Dogs happen to be color blind.  So what does Vick now have to do in the community?  Zip, zero, zilch because the poor guy is just so down trodden...how many of us had kids get full paid scholarships and not even bother to complete their education?  We are witnessing self promotion for all of the organizations taking part in the pro Vick, Bad White People/Dog Lover march.  Will Vick get the mental health care he needs now that he has his Bro's in the Hood standing tall with him?  Probably not!  Where was the march against Michael Jackson's doctor?  Oops, he is black...yet killed an icon in the Black music world and that leads me to wonder if there would have been protest by the NAACP is the doc was white - we know that answer.

 Vick is a sick man and to use the turmoil in his head to promote racial division is as horrible as it gets.  My stomach is turning. I hope the Eagles do not make it to the Super Bowl this year.  They have taken race relations to a new low.  Regardless of what Vick does on the field now, regardless of what he does in the community, this will remain forever ugly.  What I thought might a stupid pick up from a humanitarian standpoint but great football move will forever be the worst move in Eagles history. 

Even Saul Alinsky, in his less than infinite wisdom,  would question these, self promoting radicals.
