Stoll Reportedly Partying with Kings Teammates Prior to Arrest
Tuesday, April 21
TMZ reported that Stoll was out partying with teammates prior to his drug arrest:
"Jarret Stoll had been raging in Vegas with several of his L.A. Kings teammates in the hours before the NHL star was busted for trying to bring a BUNCH of cocaine and molly to a pool party ... TMZ Sports has learned.
Multiple sources confirm ... the Vegas vacation was essentially an unofficial end-of-the-season celebration to unwind and party as a team.
As far as how many Kings were part of the festivities -- sources tell us there were more than a dozen people from the organization on hand ... many of whom continued to party in Vegas throughout the weekend even AFTER Stoll was arrested.
"
The report also notes that Stoll was the only King to be arrested or get in trouble in Vegas.
Stoll Arrested for Drug Possession
Friday, April 17
Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register confirmed the arrest and reported that Stoll is out on bail:
TMZ reported on how Stoll's arrest occurred:
"The L.A. Kings player was busted around 4:30 PM on Friday while going through the security area -- that EVERYONE goes through -- on the way in to the Wet Republic pool party at the MGM Grand.
Despite the sign CLEARLY warning people that they will be patted down on the way inside, Stoll took his chances ... and a Wet Republic security guard found a pink baggie with white powder and numerous "gel-caps" with an off-white powder inside consistent with the drug "Molly."
"
The Kings provided a statement on the matter:
"We are aware of police reports out of Clark County, Nevada regarding Jarret Stoll. Our organization is concerned and has begun conducting a thorough internal investigation. While we continue to actively gather facts, we are withholding further comment at this time.
"
According to Vanessa Murphy of 8 News Now, the NHL offered no comment shortly after news of the arrest broke. Murphy also posted a photo of the full charges against Stoll:
Stoll appeared in 73 games for the Kings in 2014-15. He scored six goals and assisted on 11 more. The 32-year-old has appeared in 506 games for the organization over the last seven years. Over his 12 years in the league, he has scored 140 goals and recorded 239 assists.
Stoll is also known for dating Fox Sports' Erin Andrews. He is set to become a free agent this summer.
