New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez stepped in at designated hitter on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays and made the most of it with a massive blast to left-center that put the Yankees up, 1-0, in the second inning. 

Mike Axisa of CBS Sports reported the home run was the longest of the young MLB season so far:
