Chris Bosh Comments on Health Status, Recovery and 2015-16 NBA Season
Miami Heat star Chris Bosh announced on Friday that he's been cleared for basketball activity and is looking forward to returning to NBA action next season. He missed the latter portion of the 2014-15 campaign after developing blood clots on a lung.
The Heat passed along the update for the 10-time All-Star forward:
He also believes Miami will be in line for a bounce-back season after narrowly missing out on the playoffs while he was sidelined:
Bosh's return is obviously outstanding news for the Heat. He took on a bigger role following the departure of LeBron James. The veteran big man responded by averaging 21 points and seven rebounds in 44 games before the scary setback.
Now it sounds like the health woes are behind him and he can once again focus on getting back into basketball shape. It helps that he's been cleared so early in the team's offseason, which gives him several months to fully recuperate.
Miami will hope he's ready to roll for opening tip next fall. A healthy season from Bosh would improve the team's outlook considerably in the weaker Eastern Conference.
