Manchester United, Arsenal Fans Team Up to Troll Liverpool's Mario Balotelli

Manchester United fans and Arsenal fans have formed an unlikely alliance for their common good: trolling Liverpool. 

Mario Balotelli has been a bust since his move from AC Milan to Anfield, and on the same day that Brazilian sensation Philippe Coutinho was named as a PFA Player of the Year nominee, it seems as though the out-of-form and out-of-favour Balotelli could be named Liverpool's Player of the Year. 

As voted on by the fans, of course. Just not Liverpool fans. 

Manchester United fans, never ones to shy away from an opportunity to have a go at their hated rivals, started a movement of flooding Liverpool's page for pro-Balotelli votes.

Twitter user @shad_dana, an Arsenal fan who has since deleted his account, responded to @JustRedDevils tweet, per the Mirror and the Daily Mail, "[You] do [know that you] can do this multiple times by using fake emails [I've] done it 20 times so far." 

Congratulations, Mario! Your first Liverpool season isn't a total loss, after all. 

Even if your biggest win will be far more amusing to Manchester United and Arsenal fans than fans of your own club. 

Update, April 20th: It looked as if the fun was over, with Liverpool removing Balotelli from their list of candidates for the Player of the Season award.

But the plot thickened: at our last check, Balotelli's name was back on the pile (albeit suspiciously now with a mispelling, and and right down at the bottom of the list of choices):
