On April 16, 2000, the New England Patriots turned in the above draft card...and the rest is history.
The Patriots drafted Tom Brady with pick No. 199 in the 2000 NFL draft. Six quarterbacks were selected ahead of him that year: Chad Pennington, Giovanni Carmazzi, Chris Redman, Tee Martin, Marc Bulger and Spergon Wynn.
