Manchester United Transfer News: Lucas Moura Bid Eyed, Nathaniel Clyne Rumours
Manchester United are contemplating a bid for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Lucas Moura.
The Old Trafford club have learned that contract talks between the Brazilian and his club have stalled. George Bellshaw of Metro notes a report from Le 10 Sport saying that PSG are only willing to pay the player £2.8 million a season, whereas Moura is insisting on £4.3 million.
Bellshaw writes that United could now move in to take advantage of the situation and table a £28.1 million offer to acquire Moura's services.

Moura was originally on United's radar toward the end of Sir Alex's Ferguson's tenure, reported by BBC Sport. He was linked again during David Moyes' reign at Old Trafford, as reported by Metro in January 2014, with the player out of the PSG side and stuck on the bench.
However, he has featured much more this term, with Laurent Blanc developing the 22-year-old into a more rounded talent.
Moura has played 24 times in Ligue 1 this season, scoring seven times, per WhoScored.com.
The Brazilian would be perfect for Louis van Gaal's 4-3-3 formation, capable of featuring on the right side of the attack or midfield. Moura's pace would make him a dangerous weapon for United, and the fast-paced Premier League would be a suitable arena for his style of play.
Nathaniel Clyne Admits Ambitions

Southampton's much-admired right-back Nathaniel Clyne has admitted that he wants to win the Premier League and play Champions League football in the near future.
The England international was quoted discussing his options and stating his ambitions by Alex Shaw of ESPN:
Clyne has been a revelation for the Saints since their return to the top division and is under contract with Ronald Koeman's team until 2016, per BBC Sport.
In that article, Koeman admitted that it will be difficult to hold onto his prized asset as the big teams in the Premier League come calling: "We are still trying to keep Clyne in the club. We know it's not easy as maybe there is some interest. At the moment, there is not a serious bid for whichever player in the team, but we'll do everything to keep them."
The 24-year-old has featured heavily for the St Mary's club this term, during what has been a wonderful season for Saints. Clyne has appeared 29 times in the league, per Squawka, and has proved beyond doubt he is one of the best full-backs in the country.

Clyne's words might be seen as a "come and get me" plea to suitors, but the player will command a sizeable fee.
United had to pay £27 million to acquire the services of Luke Shaw from Southampton, making him one of the most expensive teenagers in football history, as reported by BBC Sport.
Moura and Clyne would be perfect for Van Gaal's squad. Moura would happily play off Wayne Rooney as the wide attacker, and his pace would give LvG an option he currently does not have.
Juan Mata has performed well in this position in recent weeks as United's form has steadily improved, but with the sacrificing of Wilfried Zaha—sold back to Crystal Palace—Van Gaal could use a quick attacker in his ranks.
Clyne is an essential purchase for the Reds as they look to find a long-term heir to Gary Neville's throne. Rafael was supposed to be that player, but his inconsistency has seen him usurped by Antonio Valencia.
The England right-back is only going to improve over the next five years, so United would be shrewd to grab him now, even though his cost will potentially be steep.
