Jeremy Mathieu Admits Gerard Pique Took Time to Warm to Him at Barcelona

Just call Jeremy Mathieu "Mr Honesty."

The 31-year-old was the one who spilled the beans on Lionel Messi's touchy relationship with Luis Enrique back in January revealing that the Argentine "threw a tantrum" over a foul that wasn't given in training.

Now he has come out and admitted that Gerard Pique didn't exactly greet him with open arms when the Frenchman arrived at the club from Valencia in the summer. 

Mathieu told France 2, as per SPORT: "At first it was difficult because I noticed that he was a little reticent with me. After a few games we created a bit of feeling together, and now I think everything's going better."

We suspect Luis Enrique will be shaking his head and telling Mathieu to keep these thoughts to himself in the future.

The media will be hoping the opposite.
