Jamarcus Russell Is NOT and I Repeat NOT a BUST.

This is my first write so bear with me. I am a Raider fan and I know we are in a struggle right now but I know with Russell at the leadership position the sky is the limit for the team and him...

First, JaMarcus had a great stretch the last three games of the season (we went 2-1) in that stretch). But everybody who follows the Nation knows that by now. My main thing is that everybody on ESPN and all the football shows say this guy is a bust. But let me remind you that two men that are in the Hall of Fame or will be, had worse or the same stats. Keep in mind that I am gong on the fact that 2006-2007 was not Russell's rookie year but instead 2007-2008 because his sit out.

Now in 15 games Russell had 2,423 yards/ 13 touchdowns and 8 Interceptions/ QB rating 77.1. John Elway in his first full year had 1, 663 yards/ 7 touchdowns and 14 Interceptions/ QB rating a mere 54.9 (Hall of Famer)!!! Roger Staubach in first 2 seasons had 963 yards/ 3 touchdowns and 10 Interceptions/ QB rating 69.5 and 42.9 respectively (Hall of Famer)!!!! Now, Joe Montana 1,795 yards/ 15 touchdowns and 9 Interceptions/ QB rating 87.8 (Hall of Famer)!!!! These are just 3 of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. I was going to put Terry Bradshaws stats but they were really not worth putting up here because they were horrible.

All these quarterbacks had bad years and I wonder if everybody was on their case saying they were a bust. Also, keep in mind that in the now 3 years in the NFL, Russell has had how many coaches and offensive coordinators (2 coaches and 3 offensive coordinators). I do not think that all the Hall of Famers  above had that bad of a situation!! A quarterback that just got a great deal, Eli Manning, in his rookie year had 1, 043 yards/ 6 touchdowns and 9 interceptions/ QB rating 55.4!! This is one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now.

Now this is the year when JaMarcus Russell has to prove himself as a good quarterback and I have confidence that he is going to do that. Coach Cable and the Offensive coordinator have had a great deal of time with Russell and he has had enough time to get used to the system. So, what you seen in the last 3 games of the season get accustomed to seeing that all year becasue with Russell's talent he is going to have a great year and shut all the doubters up!!! Also, with the Chaz, Javon, DHB, and Higgins almost forgot the most under rated tightend in the game Miller. Russell will have plenty of weapons for his disposal and dont let me forget Darren the Magic Man that can do just about everything run, catch, block. JaMarcus Russell is not a Bust and is going to be one of the Best in the League mark my word!!! Enough Said!!! Raider Nation on the Rise all the HATERS watch out!!!!!!!!!
