Calling True or False on 5 Recent Paris Saint-Germain Transfer Rumours

Paris Saint-Germain are still on course for lifting four trophies this season after beating Bastia 4-0 to win the Coupe de la Ligue on Saturday night.

Despite the success that may come this campaign, there will be changes at the club this summer.

Financial fair play restrictions mean the club's spending will be limited this summer, even more so with €10 million already set to go to Toulouse for Serge Aurier.

With their ability to spend big curtailed, it means they must be smart unless players leave the capital.

Here we call true or false on five recent PSG transfer rumours.

Fiorentina Dreaming of Marco Verratti

On Saturday, Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via Eurosport's Martin Mosnier) reported that Serie A club Fiorentina had put Marco Verratti at the top of their wanted list.

The Italian has previously stressed that he is happy in France, but it hasn't stopped teams being interested in the excellent young player.

Clubs need to dream big, there is no harm in that, but the Viola hopefully have a few other targets in mind, because it is very unlikely PSG's tenacious midfielder will be moving there in the summer.

Verdict: True. The interest will be real, but there is little to no chance Verratti will be a Fiorentina player next season.

PSG Send Scouts to Watch Felipe Anderson

It was recently reported that PSG had sent scout Luis Ferrer to watch Lazio's Felipe Anderson against Napoli in the San Paolo.

The 21-year-old forward can play anywhere in the attack and his been in great form this season, scoring nine goals and adding seven assists.

There is no doubt he would be a fantastic addition to the Parisian attack.

Verdict: False. Felipe Anderson signed a new contract this year that extended his deal with Lazio until 2020. It would cost far too much for PSG to sign him this summer.

Edinson Cavani Again Linked with Manchester United

His 600 minutes without a goal in Ligue 1 hasn't stopped the Daily Star linking Edinson Cavani with a move to Manchester United.

Despite his double in the Coupe de la Ligue final, Cavani appears to be one of the players PSG could be willing to sell in order to fund a couple of big moves in the summer.

PSG would happily accept the reported £60 million fee that Manchester United are willing to bid, especially as it would mean they make a profit on him even though he has not been in form for huge parts of the campaign.

Verdict: True. It's hard to see Cavani's future being in Paris.

Manchester United Coming Back for Marquinhos

Louis van Gaal will likely try and strengthen the Manchester United defence this summer, and PSG's Marquinhos is one of the names being linked with a move to the club, via Jamie Sanderson of Metro.

United were supposedly interested in the player during the January transfer window, and Sanderson's report suggested there will be a £40 million bid this summer.

Blanc has this season learned that Marquinhos is more than capable of starting games anywhere in the PSG defence. He is one of the club's bright young talents and would be a huge loss if any move materialised.

Verdict: False. PSG will not be willing to let one of their best young players leave regardless of the fee involved.

Could Paulo Dybala Be the New PSG Hero?

PSG will be looking to bring in a forward player this summer.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract ends in 2016, and Cavani's future is very much in doubt. France Football reported that representatives from PSG had met with the agent of Palermo's Paulo Dybala regarding a possible €40 million move this summer.

The French club have the funds to make the move happen, as well as the need to find a forward to become a huge part of the attack over the next few years. The Argentinian could be the perfect summer move.

Verdict: True. This could be PSG's big summer move.
