Tavern Talk: Finalizing Our Position Blue List

Here is the final AFC/NFC Position Blue “Simmons Project” Breakdown. Let me know your thoughts.

 

OFFENSE

QB (11): Brady, Palmer, Roethlisberger, P. Manning, Rivers, Romo, McNabb, Cutler, Rodgers, Brees, Warner.

Off the blue list: E. Manning.

Switched E. Manning to the almost blue area to keep 10 quarterbacks on the list, but I also kept Warner for one more year (giving me 11). Palmer is on for his past performance.

RB (10): Slaton, Jones-Drew, Tomlinson, C. Johnson, Westbrook, Portis, Forte, Peterson, Turner, D. Williams.

Off the blue list: Jacobs, Gore.

Jacobs is a blue on 1st-and-10, but I needed to get this list to 10, and he’s not a complete back. He’s good, but he and Gore are the 11th and 12th backs and had to be moved to almost blue.

TE (6): Daniels, Clark, Gates, Witten, Gonzalez, Winslow.

Unchanged.

WR (11): Evans, Moss, A. Johnson, Wayne, Marshall, Jennings, R. White, S. Smith, Bryant, Fitzgerald, C. Johnson.

Off the blue list: V. Jackson.

I heard everyone on Jackson, but he’s still 11.

OT (8): Long, Roos, Thomas, Clady, Peters, McKinnie, Gross, W. Jones.

Unchanged.

OG (3): Mankins, Snee, Hutchinson.

Unchanged.

OC (1): Mangold.

Unchanged.

PUNTER (2): Lechler, Scifres.

I admit I mistakenly forgot about Scifres and added him to the list.

SPECIALIST (5): McKelvin, Washington, Welker, Hester, Cribbs.

Moved Cribbs to blue, he’s too big and too powerful not to be here.

DEFENSE

DE (10): Freeney, M. Willliams, Ware, Tuck, Umenyiora, Jenkins, Cole, Allen, Abraham, Peppers.

Unchanged.

DT (10): Henderson, Rogers, Wilfolk, Jenkins, Ngata, A. Smith, Ratliff, Haynesworth, Williams, Dockett.

Unchanged.

ILB (6): Mayo, Pierce, Beason, Vilma, Rudd, Willis.

Unchanged.

OLB (5): Suggs, Porter, Woodley, Harrison, Merriman.

Unchanged.

CB (8): Finnegan, Revis, Mathis, Asomugha, Rogers, Winfield, Woodson, Clements.

I added Woodson and Clements. The Packers’ fanbase made me realize I was inconsistent. Woodson moved up.

S (5): Sanders, Reed, Polamalu, Landry, Wilson
