Raheem Sterling Heckled over Contract During Liverpool 2015/16 Kit Launch

Raheem Sterling was heckled during the launch of Liverpool's 2015/16 kit, as issues over his contract continue to hang over his future.

The youngster has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, causing plenty of speculation on his future—but he was on hand to unveil next season's shirt.

As per Chris Bascombe in The Telegraph:

Sterling modelled Liverpool’s strip, designed by Boston-based sports giant New Balance, alongside Daniel Sturridge, Martin Skrtel and Simon Mignolet.

But as the youngster was quizzed on stage at Anfield about his views on the design, one of the 500 invited guests interrupted.

“Make sure we see you in it next season,” was the shout from the crowd.

At this point, the other fans in attendance cheered.

Liverpool are no strangers to the key player-kit launch issues. For the last couple of years, Luis Suarez's involvement in kit launches was taken as a sign (or not) of his commitment to the club.

He stayed to wear the shirt in the 2013/14 season, when many thought he would depart, but he joined Barcelona last summer despite modeling this season's kit.
