Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Kevin De Bruyne, Roberto Firmino Rumours
Manchester United, or any other major European club, are yet to make an offer for Wolfsburg star Kevin De Bruyne, according to the player's agent.
The Red Devils and Paris Saint-Germain are among those to be linked to the Belgian playmaker, reported by talkSPORT. De Bruyne has flourished in the Bundesliga this season—helping Dieter Hecking's side to second in the domestic division and to the latter stages of the Europa League—but interest in his services remains cool for now.
That's according to Patrick De Koster, his agent, reported by Canal Supporters (h/t talkSPORT):

"PSG and other clubs who are interested in Kevin have made only initial enquiries. There is not a single concrete discussion at the moment. The fee for an eventual transfer? I cannot answer that. It is always a scenario concerning offers and demands, but we are not at that point at the moment.

Squawka recently highlighted exactly what type of company De Bruyne's performances have kept him in this season:
B/R UK poked fun at Jose Mourinho's decision to let him leave Chelsea last year:
De Bruyne was barely given a chance to establish himself at Stamford Bridge before being carted through the door. One of his two starts during the 2013-14 Premier League campaign arrived in the 0-0 draw with United at Old Trafford, a match in which he was played as a false nine. This is by no means his strong suit: De Bruyne needs runners moving beyond his position and space to work with the ball.

United boss Louis van Gaal has recently found a strong midfield balance, lining Michael Carrick up just behind Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera, with Juan Mata working freely from the right. The side are retaining possession with greater ease, moving the ball quicker and intensely closing opponents down.
However, it may be tempting to place an out-and-out attacking midfielder behind striker Wayne Rooney. De Bruyne is an obvious candidate, but reports are also linking the club with a swoop for Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino.
Jamie Sanderson of the Metro believes United have been "given the green light" to sign the Brazilian who recently netted the winner during his country's 1-0 victory over Chile in London. Both he and De Bruyne are 23, rapidly improving and threatening to become top-class global stars.
Firmino underlined this notion with an excellent chipped goal during Tuesday's DFB-Pokal quarter-final loss to Borussia Dortmund:
United have the funds to compete for most players' signatures, so Van Gaal will certainly have plenty of options to explore in the summer.
Securing Champions League football remains the crucial objective, both financially and in terms of luring individuals who are likely to receive plenty of attention when the market opens.
