Mario Balotelli 'Proves' He Is Sick After Robbie Savage Calls Him 'Pathetic'

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli missed the Reds' FA Cup win against Blackburn on Wednesday night, and he wasn't shy about showing why. 

Balotelli posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a thermometer that appeared to show that he had a temperature of 38.7 degrees Celsius (101.66 Fahrenheit).

According to the NHS, "a fever (high temperature) is a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius (100.4 degrees Fahrenheit) or over." 

Balotelli's post came after former Wales international-turned-BT-Sport-pundit Robbie Savage savaged the Italian for missing the game.

When asked about Balotelli's absence, Savage said as per the Daily Mail:

Pathetic isn’t it? You're going to miss an FA Cup quarter-final?

I don't know how unwell he is, but to miss an FA Cup quarter-final when you're feeling a bit ill? Nonsense. I would have to be really, really ill to miss that game.

"

Balotelli joined Liverpool from AC Milan for £16 million in the summer but has scored just four goals in 25 appearances.
