Medhi Benatia Injury: Updates on Bayern Munich Centre-Back's Status and Return

Bayern Munich centre-back Medhi Benatia was forced off with a thigh injury in the first half of the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Bayer Leverkusen on April 8, but returned against Dortmund on April 28.

Bayern's official Twitter feed reported that Benatia will start against Borussia Dortmund.

Benatia left the pitch with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, heading straight for the tunnel at the BayArena.

He was replaced by Sebastian Rode 12 minutes before the break, per the Bundesliga's official Twitter account:

Bayern have key Champions League fixtures coming up, and will hope to still be in the competition by the time Benatia returns.
