Reus Returns to Starting Lineup
Tuesday, April 28
Reus was named to Dortmund's starting lineup as they take on Bayern Munich, the club confirmed via its Twitter account.
On April 23, Goal.com passed along comments from manager Jurgen Klopp, who told reporters that Reus returned to training and could be ready to return by Tuesday:
"Borussia Dortmund duo Marco Reus and Lukasz Piszczek are both back in training for the Bundesliga club, coach Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.
[...]
However, it is unclear whether either player will be available for the meeting with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, with Tuesday's DFB-Pokal semi-final with Bayern Munich seemingly a more realistic return date.
"If it is not enough for Saturday yet for Marco, it would be nice if he was available on Tuesday," Klopp said.
"
On April 7, Borussia Dortmund's official website (via the official Bundesliga website) confirmed that Reus would play no part in the DFB-Pokal quarter-final meeting against Hoffenheim, with a statement reading, “The intensive game against FC Bayern Munchen has left its mark: Dortmund must do without [Mats] Hummels and Reus."
The report added that neither Reus nor Hummels' injuries were thought to be serious, which gave Klopp hope he would have his two stars back for Dortmund's April 11 trip to Borussia Monchengladbach.
