BCS or Bust for These 11 Teams

This is obviously going to be a wonderful college football season. This year started with every major pundit picking Florida to run the table and run away with the BCS Title. It seems as usual some of the cooler heads have put out more information and now it seems almost every team has a shot at the BCS Title. Now it is time to follow that trail and see which teams might have the compass to keep them from getting lost along the way.

Florida: This is a wonderfully talented team with a great coach and the most prolific college quarterback in recent memory. They also have a bulls eye painted directly on them in the toughest conference in college football. I think the season takes its toll, Florida looses two along the way and plays in a BCS Bowl but not the BCS Bowl.

Texas: Texas has much the same going for it as Florida. The Longhorns are certainly for real and could go undefeated in the regular season. I have them dropping one along the way and being in contention for the BCS Championship.

Southern California: This is a good team and all indications are for them to be as good or better than last season. In recent years Southern California has not been beat, they have found a way to lose. I think all that ends this year. If they get past Cal they will contend for the BCS Championship.

California: This is a really good team. I just do not know if they know how to win on a consistent basis. I have them in a BCS Bowl but not the BCS Bowl.

Oklahoma: I think this is the second best team in the conference behind Texas, enough said.

Oklahoma State: The road ends on day 1. Georgia will be too much for this excellent team.

Ohio State: I think they will be a BCS Bowl team just not the BCS Championship. I think they will drop one to USC and possibly one more.

Notre Dame: I put them here in respect to the schools tradition. They will be fair this year but nowhere near BCS Caliber.

Georgia: I pick this team to be the upset winner of the SEC East with one and possibly two losses. I think they loose out for the SEC championship to the eastern winner.

Alabama: I think this is an excellent team that will improve through the season and get much better. They could win the SEC west and will likely go to a BCS bowl.

LSU: This could turn out to be the best team in the nation. They are talented experienced and deep at every position. Their problem is they play in the SEC and will likely drop one or two through the season. If they get to the BCS Bowl game then they will likely be victorious. I do not think they will get there this year.

I pick Texas and Southern California for the BCS championship in the most disputed BCS Bowl yet.
