Curry, Bogut Respond to Mark Jackson After James Harden MVP Endorsement

Stephen Curry has responded to Mark Jackson's endorsement of James Harden for MVP. 

The former Warriors coach appeared on The Dan Patrick Show Thursday and said: "If you twisted my arm today, I would probably vote for James Harden. And the reason why is because he singlehandedly has put that Houston Rockets team in position that they’re in today."

Simply put, Curry was surprised to hear his former coach back another player for MVP honors, per ESPN's Ethan Strauss:

Perhaps I'm reading into this too much, but Curry sounds more disappointed than anything. These aren't the words of an angry man, but they do seem like the ones of a guy realizing he no longer knows an old friend.

We'll see where things go from here, but the Warriors-Jackson quasi-beef is wilting into a lonely, burned bridge.

The NBA MVP race is refreshingly competitive this year, and strong takes are pouring in from all angles over which of the three front-runners truly gets buckets.

ESPN's Ethan Strauss tweeted an interesting exchange between reporters and the Golden State Warriors center Thursday night. When asked about Jackson's recent endorsement of James Harden for MVP, Bogut shrugged it off as a bad joke:

He then forgot who that Mark Jackson fellow is:

Summation: Don't cross the Bogut.
