Come on WWE: The ECW Title Match Deserved Better Than 8 Seconds
This past Sunday, the WWE presented "The Biggest Blockbuster of the Summer/The Biggest Party", SummerSlam.
Rey Mysterio once again got to go over on Ziggy and retain his IC title, in a very action-packed and exceptional match, that outdid their last bout at Night of Champions.
Y2Show (The Big Show & Chris Jericho) put on a great match, with the ''Bling Brothers'' Crime Tyme, and retained their tag titles.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
''The Legend Killer'' Randy Orton showed once again why he is the best next-generation star in the WWE today and retained his WWE title, by beating ''The Kiddies' Champion'' John Cena.
Even though he will never be World Champion and will remain in the mid-card section for the rest of his wrestling career, MVP gained a victory over Jack Swagger, in a very lackluster match.
In a feud that was pretty well built-up (even though the match was boring), ''The Big, Red Machine'' Kane got a well deserved victory after he DDT'd The Great Khali, with help from a distraction.
The interesting thing to know is that the distraction came from Khali's little ''Mega Side Burned Brother'' Runjin Singh.
The Main event, pitting Jeff Hardy against CM Punk in a ''TLC match'' (Tables, Ladders and Chairs), was the highlight match of the show, and in the end (as I predicted) Punk gained the victory, after a hard, long fought match, and became a Five-Time World Champion.
But the post-match was so bone chilling because after the match ended, ''The Phenom,'' The Undertaker, would return and Chokeslam Punk's ass, right down on the canvas (signalling that he wants his next prey to be Punk) and walked up the ramp, to do his signature pose on the stage, with flames shooting up from the entrance way, ending the show.
Now the show was pretty good, but. . . The one match that really annoyed me was the ECW Championship match, pitting William Regal against The Champ, Christian.
Regal, accompanied by Ezekiel and Kozlov, walked down the ramp and entered the ring, where Christian was waiting. When the bell rang, Regal began to take his robe off, and as he was doing so, he turned around and would receive an unexpected Killswitch from Christian, that would give Christian the pin fall.
After just eight measly seconds, he would end up retaining his ECW title.
Now this is just pure stupidity on the WWE's half. Why the hell would you have a bout for a major title, like the ECW belt, on such a major pay-per-view and have it last only eight freaking seconds?
It just makes the title look like a joke and kills the prestige, or what little prestige the title had left.
I know that Christian just won the title at Night of Champions, so he had to retain it since his reign had just begun, but they didn't have to make Regal look like a complete joke in doing so.
It was Regal's first ECW title bout and they could've at least made Regal look like a credible, future champion, by giving him a good solid 10 minutes or more with Christian.
It didn't just make Regal look bad, but it made Christian look bad also, because it was his first title defence with the strap. It should've been in a longer and better planned out match, the same way they made him look good at Backlash and Night of Champions.
Even though the match didn't deliver, I think this feud will go on a bit longer, because the way the matched ended showed that Regal and his gang aren't finished with Christian, so I see these two going at it again; but even if he doesn't win the strap the second time, I have a feeling that Regal will indeed be the guy to take Christian's ECW title somewhere down the line.
Feel free to agree, or disagree with anything I said and give me your honest opinions.
That's it for me Bleachers.
