Free MLB Prediction: Colorado Rockies -166
The Rockies have won 6 of their last 7, including back-to-back games over the Giants, and they have the advantage again tonight with Marquis on the hill against Zito. While Zito has performed better of late, it can’t be overlooked that those starts were against the Reds and Mets. The reality is that Zito is 4-7 on the road with a 4.52 ERA. Marquis is having a career year for Colorado, going 14-8 (16-8 against the money line) with a 3.58 ERA. He has been brilliant in his career against the Giants, going 6-2 against the money line with an ERA of 2.30 and a WHIP of 0.938. Jeff Niemann (11-5, 3.71) has lit up by the Jays back on July.26 allowing 9 hits and 5 earned runs over 6.7 innings and I look for the Jays to hit him hard again at home Monday night.
