Safety in the nation's game is a sensitive subject right now. In November, a Deportivo la Coruna fan was killed outside Atletico Madrid's Vicente Calderon after a "violent fight" surrounding the stadium, per The Guardian. Over 200 were said to be involved, per the aforementioned report.
The Copa del Rey final is scheduled to be hosted on May 30 at Barcelona's Camp Nou. This choice of location isn't ideal for both clubs and offers Barcelona a home advantage, but Real Madrid refused to free up the Bernabeu, per Francesc Tomas of ESPN FC.
Spanish authorities remain on high alert and appear to have moved quickly to quash any sort of threat, no matter how juvenile it may appear when revealed on social media.
