Jacksonville Jaguars to Announce 2 2015 NFL Draft Selections from London

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Wednesday that two of their 2015 NFL draft picks will be read to the football world by a fan in London on May 2.  

Chase Goodbread of NFL.com reports the league will let teams allow fans to make selections during the third day of the draft, which covers Rounds 4-7. Jaguars team president Mark Lamping highlighted the decision to let a U.K.-based fan take part:

"We are so excited to provide our fans in the U.S. and abroad with an exciting opportunity to be part of the NFL draft and introduce everyone to our newest Jacksonville Jaguars," Lamping said. "Additionally, we are also equally thrilled to be the first team in the league to bring the NFL draft to the international market in London."

The report notes the team's last two picks will be announced by the fan. Those picks are currently slated to be No. 180 and No. 220 overall, barring any trades.

As the NFL has attempted to branch out into international markets, the Jaguars have been one of the most involved teams. They have played games at Wembley Stadium in London each of the past two years and are scheduled to do so for each of the next two seasons, as well.

Giving a fan from the U.K. a chance to enjoy the draft spotlight is another step toward capturing some of the market for the Jags. Fans hoping to win the opportunity can enter the "You Make the Pick" contest at NFLUK.com through April 19.
