WWE NXT: Full Preview, Rumors and More for April 1

The Doctor Chris MuellerApr 1, 2015

Welcome to Bleacher Report's preview for this week's episode of WWE NXT. This is where we take a spoiler-free look at what's in store for the developmental brand's upcoming episode.

WrestleMania 31 was a huge night for WWE, but when it comes to NXT, the Raw that followed was even more important. Not only did we get the Raw debut of Kalisto, but we saw Adrian Neville officially move to the main roster.

Due to the craziness of the past few weeks, the recent set of NXT tapings have not been played the same way they were filmed, which means we don't always know which matches will make it to air.

Thanks to WWE.com and the official NXT Twitter account, we do know a few things that will happen this week. Let's take a look at what Wednesday's show has in store for us.

Rhyno Returns

Rhyno recently made some appearances for NXT that saw the master of the Gore receive a very warm welcome from the WWE Universe.

He is one of those people who holds a special place in the hearts of fans because he has always been entertaining and passionate about the business.

Rhyno will take on a local talent this week, which means he will almost certainly rack up another win in the developmental system.

Seeing Rhyno back in a WWE ring is great. This is a guy who has lived and breathed pro wrestling for over 20 years, and he still has a lot of gas left in the tank.

He has had a few interactions with other NXT stars, which seems to indicate he could end up in a bigger program at some point, but until then, we should all be happy just to see him Goring opponents out of their boots.

A Test of Endurance

Two of the most talented Superstars in NXT will do battle in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match on Wednesday to finally settle a dispute that started during the tournament to crown a No. 1 contender to the NXT Championship.

Hideo Itami knocked Tyler Breeze out of the tourney, and Prince Pretty responded by attacking Itami backstage. The two have each picked up victories in subsequent matches, and Wednesday will be when they finally see who is the better wrestler.

This stipulation is the kind that is going to push both men to the limits of their endurance. Wrestling one match is hard enough, but they may end up having thee different falls when it's all said and done.

Based on their previous encounters, there is little chance they won't produce a fantastic performance. They share a lot of the same qualities, which makes them a lot of fun to watch together.

With Neville now on the main roster, it leaves a spot in the main event scene open for someone to fill. Both of these men are capable of being top stars for the brand, and whoever wins this match could find himself in the running for a title shot down the line.

Unless they are rushed by time constraints, this bout will probably fill up a large percentage of the show, but if they perform at the same level they have in every other encounter, it will be easy to digest.

Other matches will be featured, but we will have to wait until Wednesday night to find out who else will be used on the post-WrestleMania episode.

What are you looking forward to on this week's NXT?
