Los Angeles Clippers forward Glen Davis has been fined $15,000 for kicking a seat cushion into the stands in Sunday's 119-106 win against the Boston Celtics, the NBA announced Tuesday.

Davis, 29, kicked a chair in frustration during a fourth-quarter timeout and sent the cushion flying into the stands. It fell harmlessly into the arms of a fan in the second row before being returned to the bench. Officials did not punish Davis at the time.

Davis said his frustration came from the second unit's lack of performance in a game the Clippers starters had long since put away, per Arash Markazi of ESPNLosAngeles.com:

"

The second unit played like s---. We played like s---. We had to take the starters out and put them back in. As the second unit we have to take pride in that and making sure that we can keep the lead or get it up because at the end of the day those guys are great but they're going to need us and we got to be prepared. The second unit is growing and today was a hard lesson for us.

"

The veteran forward spent his first four NBA seasons with the Celtics. He is currently averaging 4.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.2 minutes per game for the Clippers, his second campaign under former Boston boss Doc Rivers in Los Angeles.
