Tom Brady's Incredible 2015 Vacation Was Definitely Better Than Yours

Amber LeeApr 1, 2015

Unless you’re a Patriots fan, or a close friend or family member, there’s a very good chance you have something in the general neighborhood of a strong dislike for one Thomas Edward Patrick Brady. Or, as he’s more commonly known, Tom Brady.

There are a lot of reasons to hate on Mr. California Cool. First of all, the reigning Super Bowl MVP has already won four championships in his career, appearing in six overall. Brady’s 21 wins in the postseason put him five ahead of Joe Montana, who is No. 2 on the all-time list of quarterback playoff wins.

That’s on top of all the individual awards and accolades he’s earned since taking the reins in New England in 2001. Scandal and intrigue have often marred the Brady-Belichick era of unrivaled and unprecedented success, at least in the salary-cap era, but never enough to derail what seems to be a menacing, unstoppable juggernaut.

And that's just his job!

Maybe for the tens of millions of victims suffering due to Brady’s unending greatness, which comes at the expense of our teams, it would be easier to deal with if his life off the field wasn’t even better.

This guy has a knack for playing the underdog, but the fact that he was a chubby kid and drafted in the sixth round doesn’t change the fact that he’s such a beautiful human specimen, he looks more like a movie star playing a football player than an actual athlete.

Ridiculously successful, stupidly rich, unquestionably famous and almost uncomfortably attractive, Brady happens to be lucky as hell too, because wife Gisele Bundchen is a better catch than him on every level. And from the outside looking in, the Brazilian supermodel stunner and the quarterback look blissfully happy, living a charmed life together with their two children.

Case in point: their current vacation, pieces of which have been documented on various blogs. Even in bits and pieces, Brady’s Bahamian jaunt is jealousy-inducing, but the whole picture is almost unbearable.

OK, so Brady is obviously an annoyingly great dad who not only takes his kids to the beach, but he happily lets them bury him in sand. He doesn't even look drunk!

That is a terrifying distance, especially with the added pressure of a video camera and a group of people staring on.

It hasn’t been all family fun in the sun for Brady. Over the weekend he took a little time out of his schedule to hit the links with PGA pros Keegan Bradley and Luke Donald and, naturally, NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Not only did Brady hang with the golf guys on the course, he actually schooled Bradley, winner of the 2011 PGA Championship, who thought he’d net some easy money by making friendly side bets. Brady went four-under par on 14 holes, ultimately besting the pro.

Golf with His Airness is one thing, but it wouldn’t be Tom Brady’s life if he didn’t get to live the dream of countless basketball fans by playing a game of pickup hoops with the greatest great to ever great. Did the ghost of Frank Sinatra stop by dinner later that night to sing a few tunes?

For anyone worried about poor Miss Gisele sitting at home alone, missing her man while he was out with the boys, fret not. Much like Tommy Terrific himself, she doesn't find much to get down about.

Who lives like this? Seriously!

Honestly, one of the worst things about Tom Brady is that he’s not a terrible person. If he were always getting arrested and/or saying inexplicably terrible things—like John Rocker or Pacman Jones did in their respective heydays—hating him would be so much less complicated.

But despite being forever linked with the cartoonish villainy of Bill Belichick, Brady seems like a genuinely nice guy—a great teammate, loving husband and doting father. And even though it’s absolutely frowned upon in New England, he seems to have a pretty solid sense of humor, too.

Brady’s Facebook page is nothing short of epic. Its entertaining posts frequently become “news” (like this post) because they provide a behind-the-scenes look at his enviable life, as well a willingness to laugh at himself, and occasionally others.

Not that any of it really matters in the end. Love him or hate him, Tom Brady is going to keep on keepin' on, living the kind of ridiculously charmed life that makes most of our lives look like a puddle of hot garbage juice.

The kind of life in which he and his supermodel wife literally ride off into the sunset.

Yikes, that's annoying.
