Joe Namath Parties with 100-Year-Old Twins on Their Birthday
If there was a short list for ideal celebrity guests at centenarian birthday parties, you’d imagine Joe Namath would slide in somewhere between Herbie Hancock and Betty White.
He’s the face of one of football’s more ridiculous eras and a general good ol’ boy, so it stands to reason he’d be a welcome addition at hootenannies put on for the most veteran of Earth’s citizens.

Thus, Namath’s presence at a recent birthday party for 100-year-old twins comes as less of a surprise and more of a delightful confirmation that Namath remains a roguish, generation-bridging hero.
Vuz TV’s Mara Montalbano (h/t NextImpulseSports.com) found video of Namath dropping in for the birthday of Anna Campani and Josephine Bencivenga—twin sisters living in Namath's Tequesta, Florida, neighborhood who recently celebrated making it to the century mark of their lives.
Cake was served, hugs were given and Namath made a patently Namath-ian remark about canoodling with his older neighbors.
“I said, ‘Happy birthday, beautiful,’” Namath remarked. “And I thought she had that skirt up a little high, showing that knee, you see.”
Of course, not being centenarian, my celebrity short list for 100th birthday parties appears to be incomplete. Bencivenga said she’d have liked to have seen a certain golfer make the party.
“I would have to say, ‘Tiger Woods,’” Bencivenga said.
Someone needs to get Woods to see these fine ladies. Now that he’s fallen out of golf’s top 100, he needs to join his compatriots piercing the numeric barrier.
Dan is on Twitter. Joe Namath should be at every birthday party.
