Jacquizz Rodgers to Bears: Latest Contract Details, Comments and Reaction
Jacquizz Rodgers has been a serviceable third-down running back for four NFL seasons. Even though the free agent didn't find a huge market, the Chicago Bears had enough interest to sign him to a one-year deal.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported earlier on Tuesday that Rodgers was in Chicago for a visit with the Bears.
The Bears could use some additional depth at running back. Matt Forte is great, but he's also 29 with seven seasons and 2,260 total touches (rushes and receptions) under his belt. Rodgers presents the Bears with a nice change of pace and even someone head coach John Fox could use to spell Forte for 100 carries.
Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus also noted that Rodgers would provide more pass protection than Forte typically does:
Considering the Bears' gaping holes on defense, the easiest way for them to compete in a hurry is to add pieces to an offense that has a lot of talent with Forte, Alshon Jeffery and Jay Cutler.
Rodgers isn't a game-changer, but he should serve a purpose on this team.
