WWE might already be planting the seeds for next year's WrestleMania, with The Rock returning to the company Sunday night at WrestleMania 31.
Triple H and Stephanie McMahon were in the middle of a promo running down the crowd inside Levi's Stadium, which brought out "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment," per the WWE:
The three proceeded to exchange verbal barbs until McMahon took things up a notch, slapping The Rock square in the face. The Rock opted not to return the favor, instead calling upon the help of UFC fighter Ronda Rousey, who was seated ringside:
Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch praised WWE for including Rousey in the show:
Rousey commented on the experience on Monday via Twitter:
McMahon attempted to intimidate the UFC women's bantamweight champion, to no avail:
The Rock and Rousey deposited Triple H and Stephanie out of the ring, providing a WrestleMania moment that will be remembered for some time:
It seems extremely unlikely that this was anything more than a one-off appearance for Rousey since she's an active UFC fighter. She's not going to jeopardize her career by wrestling in WWE.

Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com spoke with Rousey's agent, Brad Slater, on if UFC boss Dana White knew she would be appearing on Sunday night: "I've told you many times how I work with Dana [White]. I always, always call him and make sure he is OK with anything we ever do in movies, television and otherwise."
Slater acknowledged that the appearance had been "in the works" for months, but did not state if she would appear in a future match.
The Rock and Triple H, however, might not be through. It wouldn't be a surprise to see them cross paths again and set something up for WrestleMania 32.
