Here are the MLB Standings for 08/21/2009 along with the 2009 opening day payroll. I also added the Average attendance for teams across MLB. The top payroll teams are in 1st place an in charge of the divisions while teams like the Rangers and Marlins are fighting for the Wild Card. There were some major moves that impact the Payroll numbers for the 2009 season.
