NFL Draft 2015: 1st-Round Mock Draft Based on Notable Pro-Day Results
With a very active free-agency period stealing recent headlines, prospect workouts seem to have fallen by the wayside.
After all, it's difficult to focus on pro days during the commencement of the new league year, as many NFL veterans have found new homes after signing lucrative contracts or being a part of a blockbuster trade. Luckily, things have slowed down in that department, and we can now turn our attention to the draft.
Very few pro days remain, and most of the biggest football schools have already hosted league personnel interested in watching some coveted prospects work out one last time before the draft. In the wake of these sessions, some rather intriguing results have surfaced.

Analyzing Notable Pro-Day Results
Pro days don't necessarily make or break a prospect's future in the NFL, but they can play a significant role in regards to where players are drafted. If a prospect follows up a brilliant combine showing with another great workout at his pro day, he may see his draft stock elevate. Unfortunately, poor showings can also have an equally adverse effect.
Here's a glance at the results—both good and bad—and analysis from the pro days of some of the draft's coveted first-round prospects.
2. Tennessee Titans: Leonard Williams, DT, USC
There's been much debate surrounding the Titans' No. 2 pick. Will they take Marcus Mariota or Leonard Williams? Well, the team sent a fleet of personnel to USC's pro day to watch the 6'5", 302-pound defensive tackle, and he didn't disappoint.
Williams showed great quickness, power and hand placement during positional drills, reaffirming why he may be this year's most talented prospect. Tennessee won't pass him up.
8. Atlanta Falcons: Shane Ray, DE, Missouri

The 6'3", 245-pound Shane Ray didn't work out at the combine due to a foot injury, so his pro day held elevated importance. Unfortunately, the speedy edge-rusher didn't impress with a 4.68-second 40-yard dash and average numbers across the board.
Ray's college tape is far superior to his workout, and a team in need of a pass-rusher—like the Falcons—should still consider him a top-10 pick based on that production.
10. St. Louis Rams: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama

During Amari Cooper's pro day, Alabama coach Nick Saban called the wide receiver a "smart player" and noted his "great hands" during an interview with Chase Goodbread of NFL.com.
Cooper displayed those traits during his workout, running crisp routes, displaying a huge catch radius and catching everything thrown in his direction. The Rams could certainly use a 6'1", 211-pound receiver with those traits on their roster.
28. Denver Broncos: Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota
Maxx Williams put on a show at the combine, finishing as a top performer in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, broad jump and 20-yard shuttle while showing great hands in positional drills.
The 6'4", 249-pound tight end proved those numbers weren't flukes during his pro day. Williams showed soft hands once again and looked comfortable running his routes. He looks ready to step in for a Broncos team that recently lost Julius Thomas.
31. New Orleans Saints (via Seattle Seahawks): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma

Dorial Green-Beckham was a bit of a wild card entering offseason workouts due to is inactivity on the football field last season. However, the 6'5", 237-pound receiver excelled at the combine and did the same at his pro day.
After displaying his great athleticism, ball skills and length once again, Bucky Brooks of NFL.com tagged Green-Beckham as a future No. 1 receiver—that's just what the Saints offense needs going forward.
