Panthers- Doplhins Game Recap

Tonight the Panthers lost a close game to the Miami Dolphins, 27-17.  Steve Smith was sidelined again in this contest as he is healing from a shoulder injury, it has been said that he will play in te preseason home opener against the Baltimore Ravens, also Mushin Muhhamad did not play tonight as well as Charles Godfrey and Thomas Davis. Kenneth Moore and Dwayne Jarrett were the first and second recievers and Dan Connor started in Davis position.

The starting defensive line had a good performance tonight they gave up only 68 rushing yards in the first half containing Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams and the Dolphins Wildcat formation, this is a some good progress especially after what happened Monday night in New York . 

Jake Delhomme went 5 of 7 with 47 yards and 0 TDs tonite, he had limited action, he also did a good job protecting the ball he still hasn't thrown any interceptions or fumbled the ball.  DeAngelo Williams looks like he is ready to take off from where he left off last season, he ran for 40 yds with a 25 yards rush for a touchdown.

More notalbe players, Everette Brown had a force fumble and 1 sack,  James Anderson was named tonights Player of The Game he had 5 tackles, also Dan Connor had 4 tackles as he is making a name for himself. 

Tonights Grades

Defense earn an  "C+" they handled the Wildcat and Ronnie Brown

Offense recieves an "B+" Dellhomme looks focused and ready but, the O-Line needs to step up

Special Teams earn a "C" Captain Munnerlyn almost returned a punt back for a touchdown but he stepped out of bounds, he had a fumble and so did Ryhne Robinson.

Next Weeks Game is scheduled for 8pm at Bank Of America Stadium against the Baltimore Ravens, it has been said that the starter will play longer.
