Over-Hyped EPL Players

While reading an article it came to me that they are a fairly large amount of EPL players who are over-hyped in my view, with most of these players coming from Manchester United.

Primarily Wayne Rooney, who in my view is player who should not be playing football after that incident on then fellow team Ronaldo. Aside from that he brings little to United attack which may change this season but overall is over hyped has a footballer.

Secondly Anderson, who has so far not even managed to score a goal and is supposedly an attacking midfielder. Correct me if I am wrong but an attacking midfielder is supposed to score goals.

Michael Carrick, who I have seen play I at least 20 times has not impressed me one bit. His style of play is average at best, supposedly he is a central midfielder who is supposed to be a kind of play maker in most cases i have seen him set up limited amounts of goals over his stay at Man United.

However Man United is not the only team with over-hyped players, even my beloved Arsenal has their fair share in the likes of:

Theo Walcott. Even though he may develop into an outstanding player his performance over what was promised has been lacking to say the least.

Luke Freeman, who has not even made a Premier League appearance, is supposedly some magic finisher in front of goal.

Manchester City's Roque Santa Cruz, who has two good seasons his career which will not happen again. He scores one every four games which is not as impressive as some want that to seem.

Chelsea's Joe Cole, who is hyped in England as one of the most amazing midfielders, which his record and style of play does not agree with.

Deco, who is hyped all over the world as a player with excellent skill and must admit that he plays with a lot of style, but as it relates to getting results from the stylish play he falls short.

Tottenham's Peter Crouch, who I believe is clumsy in his style of play and statistics may hide this as it is with Adebayor but he delivers with great headers.

If you can think of any other over-hyped players please name them.
