AJ Lee and Paige vs. Bella Twins: Winner and Reaction from WWE WrestleMania 31

After weeks of torment at the hands of the Bella Twins, the team of AJ Lee and Paige got even with a victory at WrestleMania 31 Sunday.

Nikki and Brie have been atop the Divas division for the past few months, and they have abused that power by taking shots at less conventional Divas such as Paige.

With WWE's self-professed Anti-Diva fighting a one-on-two battle, AJ recently made her return to WWE programming in order to help her former rival. Paige and AJ fought over the Divas Championship on several occasions, but they attempted to put their issues aside.

Paige and AJ called themselves "frenemies," which proved to be a fitting term since they weren't always on the same page during the build toward their match against the Bellas.

That was abundantly clear on the go-home episode of Raw when Nikki curiously offered to put her Divas Championship on the line against either Paige or AJ.

AJ was wary of Nikki's motives, which led to a potential crack in the partnership between WWE's Black Widow and Paige, according to WWE Universe on Twitter:

That manifested itself in the match between Paige and Nikki. Paige lost the match after AJ accidentally elbowed her, and it led to them brawling with each other while the Bellas looked on with satisfaction.

There were definite concerns regarding the ability of AJ and Paige to coexist at WrestleMania, but they were able to come together for a common cause and knock the Bella Twins down a peg or two.

The stakes weren't particularly high since the Divas Championship wasn't on the line, so it will be interesting to see how the title picture changes moving forward.

One can only assume that Paige and AJ are in line to get a shot at the title, while the grip that Nikki and Brie have on the top of the Divas division could be slipping away.

Four of the best Divas in WWE were given an opportunity to showcase their skills at WrestleMania 31, and while they may not have been put in an ideal position, they all put their best foot forward at the biggest event of the year.
