As expected Derek Anderson will start against the Detroit Lions for the second preseason game of 2009. Will Derek Anderson seal the deal with Cleveland Fans?

DA must succeed for the sakes of the Cleveland Browns.

DA is a free pick off the Ravens practice squad, a minor victory would magnify if he can blossom into the gunslinger the Browns have lacked for so long.

DA was a pro-bowler only 2 seasons ago, a feat that hasn't happened to Browns QBs very often !

Notorious for his slow starts, DA must jump out of the gate and with Mangini at the helm, he must tell the Offensive coordinator to give DA his head and allow DA to gun it in the first few offensive series.

Former headcoach, Romeo Crennel tried to establish the running game early in 2008 games, and the tactics hasn't helped DA. Mangini must establish the DA weaponary early as pre-emptive strike to take the pressure off his aweful defense, like the team did in 2007.

DA must go to the no-huddle early and often, thereby tiring out the opposition's defense.
