NFL Draft 2015: 1st-Round Mock Draft Following Week 2 of Free-Agency Period
NFL mock drafts just haven't been the same since the free-agency period began.
Before the new league year, every team had defined needs based on their 2014 performances; however, that all went out the window after some blockbuster trades and player movement that included several lucrative contracts and even some early retirements.

Updated Selections Based on Free-Agency Signings
You'll always hear analysts say the draft is a very fluid process. That couldn't be more true, as every single offseason move and prospect workout has some sort of impact, altering team strategies or draft stocks of certain players. Mock drafts continue to be adjusted accordingly.
Free agency influences the draft in a big way, as some teams opt to fill certain needs with veterans and look for incoming rookies to help in other departments. Here's a glance at a handful of franchises in those exact scenarios and a look at their updated first-round selections.
5. Washington Redskins: Randy Gregory, OLB, Nebraska

After losing Brian Orakpo to the Tennessee Titans in free agency, the Redskins were left with a glaring need at outside linebacker across from Ryan Kerrigan. Adding the 6'5", 235-pound Randy Gregory would fill that void perfectly. With great length and speed, the Nebraska product will be an immediate contributor as an edge-rusher.
11. Minnesota Vikings: Vic Beasley, OLB, Clemson

Minnesota filled a need at wide receiver by trading for Mike Wallace; however, the team missed out on adding defensive end Michael Johnson. With that area still needing an upgrade, the Vikings can grab the 6'3", 246-pound Beasley here. One of the draft's best athletes, Beasley has all of the tools to flourish in the NFL. He needs a little polish, but his upside is astronomical.
20. Philadelphia Eagles: Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

The Eagles made plenty of moves in free agency, but they didn't find a replacement at wide receiver for the departed Jeremy Maclin. That makes the 6'2", 217-pound Jaelen Strong a great option at No. 20 overall. A complete player, Strong is powerful and has great size, soft hands and an enormous catch radius. He can make the tough catches over the middle or win jump balls in the red zone.
27. Dallas Cowboys: Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin

Dallas lost the NFL's reigning rushing leader in DeMarco Murray and didn't adequately replace him—Darren McFadden is not the answer here. That leaves the Cowboys in the market for a running back, making the 6'1", 215-pound Melvin Gordon the right choice. An extremely talented open-field runner with good burst, breakaway speed and toughness, he'll lessen the blow of losing Murray this offseason.
31. New Orleans Saints (via Seattle Seahawks): Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma

The Saints have a nice smaller receiver in Brandin Cooks, but after trading away Jimmy Graham, the team needs another big target—especially considering Marques Colston will be 32 before the season starts. Enter the 6'5", 237-pound Dorial Green-Beckham. With a huge frame, good vertical speed and an enormous catch radius, he'll become an instant favorite for quarterback Drew Brees.
