Yaya Set to Miss Spurs and QPR Clashes

Toure Exits vs. Aston Villa with Hamstring Injury

Saturday, April 25

Toure exited the Villa win with a hamstring injury. Following the game, Pellegrini confirmed the news, via ESPN FC's John Brewin:

Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News provided more details on Toure's status:

As things stand, Pellegrini's side sit 13 points off league leaders Chelsea, but the chances of reducing that void look all the more dim without Toure in their lineup.

The Ivory Coast international has gone through a resurgence after getting off to a slow start this season. Toure's work as the midfield conduit in Pellegrini's setup has been a key ingredient in their rise to the second spot, and his time on the sideline will test just how deep the resources are at the Etihad Stadium.
