Week One AFC Battle: Tennessee Vs. Pittsburgh

Looking ahead to week one we have a tough AFC match-up between the Tennessee Titans +5 and the Pittsburgh Steelers -5. 

These two teams had a solid 2008 season that resulted in one of them, the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning the Super Bowl.   

Pittsburgh Steelers -

September 10th will not be an easy task for the Titans. The team will battle the Steelers, a team who lost to the Titans in Tennessee 14-31, at Pittsburgh. Tomlin strikes me as a coach that keeps tabs on his team getting blown out by any team, but even more with a rival AFC team. 

The Steelers have some minor injuries this preseason including Ben Roethlisberger recent ankle injury, but overall most of the team is in place to make another run for the Lombardi Trophy. Look for revenge as a factor going into this first home game for the Steelers. 

Tennessee Titans -

Tennessee looks like a team that needs a tiny bit of luck to move forward after a 13 game winning season last year. With an excellent running game and well rounded defense, one must question the ability of the offense to throw the ball effectively.  Collins and company did not have a receiver over 1,000 yards last year, not even close. 

Also, who replaces Albert Haynesworth; the teams sack leader and possibly the best DTin football?  With all the questions surrounding this years, Titans team look for quality coaching in Jeff Fisher to help the team stay focused on winning. 

This game will be a lot fun to watch and should be the perfect kick off game for the 2009 NFL season.

NFL bets likes a Steelers win, but lean on Tennessee to cover +5.
