WWE 2K15: Top 10 Moves from NXT Arrival DLC, Best New Community Creations, More

Brian MaziqueMar 20, 2015

It's been more than a week since the NXT Arrival downloadable content for WWE 2K15 was released. For those who missed it, the new pack gives gamers access to Konnar and Viktor of The Ascension, Emma, JBL and Adam Rose.

If you're playing with the Ascension on the game, Viktor appreciates you.

With additions to the game's roster also comes new moves. You'll have to give the new Superstars and Diva a whirl on your own to see all the new moves added, but YouTuber The 101 shows off the Top 10 new attacks in the NXT DLC.

Superstars like Corbin, Hideo Itami, Finn Balor and Kevin Owens would have been awesome, but the Superstars and Diva in this pack were determined well before any of the guys I mentioned had made a huge impact.

Latest and Future Updates

Path of the Warrior

The release of the NXT DLC means there's just one more post-release content left to add to the game. The remaining piece of the WWE 2K15 DLC puzzle is the last addition to the game's 2K Showcase mode. Gamers will have an opportunity to play through the biggest and most important matches in the career of the late Ultimate Warrior.

It's called The Path of the Warrior, and it could be epic. Per WWE.2K.com, here's what it will include:

  • Story focused on the career of WWE Hall of Famer Ultimate Warrior
  • Playable WWE Hall of Famers: Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant and Sgt. Slaughter
  • Playable WWE Legends: Honky Tonk Man, Rick Rude, Macho King and Colonel Mustafa
  • Playable WWE Superstars: Undertaker and Hunter Hearst Helmsley
  • Access to WWE Hall of Fame ring announcer Howard Finkel and WWE managers Jimmy Hart, Bobby Heenan, Paul Bearer, Sherri, Sid Justice and General Adnan
  • Playable arenas: WrestleMania VI, VII and XII; SummerSlam (1988, 1990 and 1991); Saturday Night’s Main Event XXIV and Madison Square Garden.

That could be a pretty decent haul and one that will solidify the WWE 2K15 roster as well. Randy Savage and Andre the Giant are the two I'm most excited to see on the next generation consoles. There's been no official release date announced, but with WrestleMania less than two weeks away, it seems we could see Path of the Warrior sooner rather than later.

Usually the developers like to devote all or most of their attention to the fall release around this time of year. The release of Path of the Warrior should close the book on new and major updates for WWE 2K15.

Patch 1.04 Details

Patch 1.04 was released with the NXT Arrival DLC. The patch touched up a number of areas, per WWW.2K.com, here are the most notable fixes:

"
  • (PS4 Only) Eliminated a soft crash that occurred when booting the title with no internet connection
  • Made a number of essential fixes and updates related to functionality for the “NXT Arrival” downloadable content.
  • In tag team matches, if the player first knocks the legal man’s partner off the apron, that partner should stay down longer and allow the player more time to attempt a successful pin against the legal man.
  • AI Superstars will recognize leverage pins and attempt to break them up in multi-man matches.
  • Improved AI targeting during tag team matches.
  • AI Superstars are now more adept at hitting top-rope finishers
  • Addressed an issue with the Diving Cross Body 1 Finisher
  • Fixed a bug in which a move could fail to award a Finisher if the player used it on an opponent as a Signature.

Top Community Creations

Sting's New Duds

It doesn't take the WWE gaming universe long. Sting was just wearing his new robe-jacket thing on the March 16 episode of Monday Night Raw, and someone has already masterfully recreated and shared it via the WWE 2K15 community creations on Sony PlayStation 4. That someone's name is: giamsamir.

MrBigShowOff gives us the video.

Throwback Ryback

It's appropriate to go back in time on Flashback Friday. This alternate attire for Ryback sends The Big Guy right back to his days as Skip Sheffield with The Nexus. The attire is spot on and it was created and shared by AzzaArmageddon on the PS4 community creations network. The 101 strikes again with the video.

Go check it out.
