He also provided the terms of the deal, which includes a team option:

Rich Cimini of ESPN reported that the two-year deal is worth $4.65 million.

Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun confirmed an agreement was in place:

Financial information wasn't immediately released.

General manager Ozzie Newsome noted that talks began weeks ago, per the Ravens' official Twitter account.

Canty talked to Wilson about the decision to return, saying "I'm super excited to come back and be part of a great tradition."

Canty also posted on his Instagram about his new deal:

Canty is heading into his 11th season in the NFL. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys and made a stop with the New York Giants before arriving to Baltimore in 2013. He's racked up 65 tackles, three forced fumbles and 2.5 sacks in 26 games over the past two years.

He will rejoin a Ravens' defensive front rotation that also includes Timmy Jernigan, DeAngelo Tyson and Brandon Williams, among others. Exactly how many snaps he'll be in line for won't be known until the offseason dust settles in time for training camp.

That said, Canty is a reliable producer up-front and didn't find any offers on the open market good enough to lure him away from a Ravens return.
