Atletico Madrid vs. Bayer Leverkusen: Highlights from Champions League Clash

Mario Suarez scored the goal that Atletico Madrid needed to level things during their round-of-16 tie with Bayer Leverkusen at the Vicente Calderon. 

Suarez fired from the edge of the box, and it appeared to take a slight deflection to make it 1-0 on the night in Madrid and 1-1 on aggregate. 

It also broke a stingy run of defence from the German club. 

After 120 minutes, the match would be decided by penalties. It was hardly a pretty shootout, as Atletico advanced 3-2 after Leverkusen were saved once and twice hit attempts over the target. 

Stefan Kiessling hit Leverkusen's final attempt over the mark to send Atletico through to the quarter-finals.
