Spiral Stakes 2015 Results: Winner, Payouts and Order of Finish
This year's Spiral Stakes was one of the best in recent memory, not since the 2011 field where Animal Kingdom reigned supreme have we seen a deeper and more talented field.
12 horses descended upon the synthetic course at Turfway Park, and this time around, the winner was Dubai Sky. The young colt won in impressive fashion besting Conquest Typhoon and Taskforce Glory to round out the first, place and show finishers.
In winning the Spiral, Dubai Sky earned an ever-important 50 points toward a spot in this year's Run for the Roses, and has also staked his claim to contender status for the showdown at Churchill on May 2nd.

Recap
Predictably, Watchyourownbobber broke right to the front with Wireless Future, Royal Son and Dubai Sky trailing in second, third and fourth by the first quarter.
Watchyourownbobber set a blistering pace in the first quarter, running at a 22.99 second clip. By the halfway mark, it became clear that this race was going to be won by Dubai Sky. The young colt made a great move following the 1/2 mile pole, and opened up to win by about a length under a light whip.
Metaboss went off as the post-time favorite, but the Chestnut Colt failed to lift a hoof in his big opportunity to earn vital points toward a spot in the Derby. Metaboss's appearance was wholly underwhelming, and based on his performance here, it looks as though he'll wind up on the outside looking in on Derby day.
Racing out of the one-hole, morning-line favorite Royal Son was in contention through most of the race, but faded hard following the move for home. The three-year-old son of of Tiznow dueled hard on the front end, and appeared to be out of gas around the quarter pole.
Ultimately though, no contender had what it would take to beat Dubai Sky. The Bill-Mott trained son of Candy Ride sat just off the leader Watchyourownbobber before taking off during the turn for home.
A masterful ride by Jose Lezcano was exactly what Mott and Dubai Sky needed in order turn earn the top share of the $550,000 purse, as well as those pivotal points toward a spot in the Run for the Roses.
Ed DeRosa of Twinspires.com gave us a great look of both the start, and the impressive finish by Dubai Sky.
Make it four straight wins for Dubai Sky, and as noted by Ron Flatter of Fox News Radio, his first on a synthetic surface.
It was truly an impressive showing for the bay colt, and he's earned a closer look as we move toward the Derby.
