Coleman Expected to be Drafted High

Thursday, March 26

Evan Silva of Rotoworld weighed in on Coleman's draft stock:

Coleman Meeting with Multiple Teams and Scouts

Tuesday, March 24

The plan is for Coleman to work out for NFL scouts on April 15, reported Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs.com.

Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun reported on March 23 that Coleman will meet with the San Diego Chargers leading up to the NFL draft.

On March 16, Wilson, via Mike Huguenin of NFL.com, reported that Coleman also had meetings set up with the Baltimore Ravens, the Carolina Panthers and the Arizona Cardinals. These individual meetings are important for Coleman because he was unable to work out at the NFL Scouting Combine and has a pro day workout coming up April 15.

Huguenin detailed the running back attrition for all three of those teams, as Baltimore needs a back behind Justin Forsett, the Panthers released DeAngelo Williams and Arizona needs a backup behind Andre Ellington.

Coleman may not be the household name that players like Melvin Gordon and Todd Gurley are in this draft because he played at Indiana, but he topped the 200-yard mark in four different games this season. He also tallied 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the eventual national champion Ohio State Buckeyes and torched Rutgers for 307 rushing yards.

He is an explosive option who could be available in the second or third round of the draft.
