Freeman Reportedly Signs with Dolphins

Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman reported Freeman has reached a one-year deal with the Dolphins.
Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post reported unless the Dolphins carry three quarterbacks, Freeman will likely be used as a 'camp body' for Miami.
Freeman Worked Out for Jets
Monday, March 16
"Josh Freeman had recent workout with Jets. I'm told he did well. Several other teams taking hard look at him," reported Freeman.
ESPN's Rich Cimini provided further insight on the workout, noting that it took place before the Jets acquired Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Freeman, 27, is a former first-round draft pick who achieved some success early in his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Once regarded as a quarterback with a promising future, the veteran is now looked upon by fans as a "what could have been" type player.
Freeman last played in an NFL game in 2013 when he appeared in three games for the Bucs, throwing for two touchdowns and three interceptions, and one game for the Minnesota Vikings, throwing for 190 yards, one interception and zero touchdowns on 53 attempts.
The New York Giants signed Freeman in April 2014, but they released him within two months. In June 2014, Gil Brandt of NFL.com reported Freeman was working with Jon Gruden and Terry Shea in an attempt to make a comeback, but he failed to play during the 2014-15 season.
Freeman still holds value as a backup quarterback for most teams in need of depth. Given his size and arm strength, he would present matchup problems in the right system and would certainly benefit from a team with high-quality wide receivers. He's accumulated 13,724 yards, 80 touchdowns and 67 interceptions during his career.
