San Fran Woman with Twitter Handle @Chelsea Getting up to 100 Tweets a Minute

If you ever want to tweet San Francisco photographer Chelsea LaSalle, chances are she might miss your message, especially if you just so happen to get in touch while the football outfit Chelsea are playing a match. 

That is because Chelsea's Twitter handle is @Chelsea, and many people don't seem to realise that @ChelseaFC is the actual handle of the Premier League leaders. 

Chelsea told BuzzFeed that she can get 50 to 100 tweets a minute during matches.

She has had her handle for seven years after a friend at Twitter helped her get it and has turned down offers to sell it. 

She said:

I didn’t even think about it at the time. I knew some people would mention me thinking they tagged their friends if they didn’t really know how to use Twitter, but I didn’t expect a crazy influx of football fans.

"

Despite the hassle the username brings, Chelsea told BuzzFeed that she supports Chelsea.

"How could I not?" she said.

Indeed.
