Consider us excited.

Hollywood A-lister Jamie Foxx has revealed that he'll be starring as Mike Tyson in a biopic of the former heavyweight champion.

That's exciting enough news as it is, but add the fact that Martin Scorsese is directing, and you can really start getting pumped.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Foxx told The Breakfast Club on Power 105.1 in New York, "This will be the first boxing movie that Martin Scorsese has done since Raging Bull."

Meanwhile, Tyson celebrated the news by posting all 44 of his career knockouts on YouTube with the message, "Help me pick my 10 best knockouts to feature in the Mike Tyson story starring Jamie Foxx and directed by Martin Scorsese."

In Raging Bull, Scorsese has already directed what many people consider to be the greatest boxing movie ever made.

The 1980 Jake LaMotta biopic saw Robert De Niro win best actor at the Academy Awards.

Foxx has also won an Oscar for best actor, taking home the gold statue for his portrayal of singer Ray Charles in the 2004 biopic Ray.
